The Verti and Verti Fan series were the very first objects made as vessels in a vertical orientation. They were first designed in 1984 using layers of plate glass fanned out to create a three-dimensional vase form.  This sculptural fine art series was influenced in part from Sidney’s musical interests and use the planar, rectilinear and architectural qualities of plate glass to mimic the keys, notes and movement of music.
