Created in 2016, this series is the 'Middy' version of the Vertical Vase series. With the body of the vase flipped on its side, the larger surface area allows for more depth of field and painterly color landscapes.  They are technically challenging, as the top and bottom of the circles making up the base need to be meticulously ground and polished before laminating to the top and base. Like the VV series, this sculptural fine art series is crafted from 1/4" glass circles and alternating 1/2" glass bars that have each been cut, ground and polished. The surface area allows for more depth of field and painterly color landscapes.
